Contact Easts Cricket
FAQs - here are some common questions asked of us. If you have another matter to contact us about, please fill in the form below.
Q: Tell me more about Easts teams?
A: Easts competes in the NSW Premier Cricket (formerly Sydney Grade) competition under the Sydney Cricket Association and is based at Waverley Oval, just 5 minutes from Bondi Junction. Senior players are selected in 5 Grade teams and a 6th team in the Metropolitan Cup. There are additional opportunities to represent Easts in the Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup, Poidevin-Gray (U/21) and Green Shield (U/16). For information about our Juniors, click here
Q: I'd like to play in an Easts Seniors team, what do I need to do?
A: First, we need to know if you are an Australian citizen OR have resided in Australia for at least 6 months. If neither applies to you, you're typically considered an overseas player under the rules of the competition. There are heavy restrictions on the number of overseas players that any club in NSW Premier Cricket can field in a season. If you wish to play for Easts as an overseas player or are not sure, please contact us as soon as possible. See the 2016/17 pre-season schedule here
A: The pre-season training sessions as a whole are the trials and form the basis for selections at the start of the season. We encourage you to attend all sessions. If you can't attend training or are unavailable for matches, please inform the coaches as soon as possible.
Q: When does the season start and finish?
A: Typically the pre-season fitness and training starts in the second half of July, leading up to Round 1 in the last week of September. The preliminary rounds end around mid-March after which 3 weekends of finals culminate in the grand final around the beginning of April.
