Easts Junior Development Program

The Junior Development program aims to give every single Easts junior the opportunity to train at Waverley Oval under the guidance of our Junior High Performance Coach, Brendan Lyon, supported by a number of qualified members of the senior club acting as coaches. The sessions are designed to be fun as well as improving the skills of the kids. A detailed agenda for Waverley Oval dates will be posted shortly and will also be available via our weekly Newsletter 'The Pod'.

Brendan will be working with all our junior coaches to ensure that all our players have access to the most up to date knowledge whether it is through gaining basic skills right through to developing elite players.

The club will soon be releasing a targeted coaching framework built on the highly successful Centrewicket program. This framework will provide coaches with a season plan to ensure that week to week training is focussed on specific aged based needs. Players and parents can review the skills that are being highlighted week-to-week and through the use of simple videos players can see and practice the various techniques.
