NIC MADDINSON - ESCC JUNIOR AMBASSADOR
Welcome junior Dolphins!
It's a great time of year with the cricket season just around the corner and I am proud to be on board again as Easts' Junior Ambassador for 2015/16. Unfortunately, a broken finger has forced me home early from Australia A's Tour of India - but on the plus side - it means that I will be in Sydney during the pre season to help promote cricket participation in the Eastern Suburbs area.
And to kick things off - I'm offering a pre season training session to one lucky team before the season gets underway. To enter the competition, simply register in an underage team before Friday August 21 at 5pm and the winner will earn the prize for whichever team he is eventually allocated.
Once again this season - I'll also be selecting a New Balance Player of the Month through the season with some great prizes to be won.
Our Easts First Grade team is shaping up as a strong one this season and the squad is already in training. Everyone at the club is buzzing for my NSW and Easts teammate Peter Nevill, who made his Test debut during the recent Ashes. It's given everyone a lift and no doubt Nev will be around Waverley Oval during the season as well.
Whether you're a senior or junior this season promises to one of the club's best yet - I hope you'll join me in being a part of it.
Until next time,
