About the Wallsend women's cricket club

The Wallsend Bears women's cricket club is based in Newcastle, NSW.

We train locally at Wallsend Park and offer women from Newcastle, Central Coast, Central North and North Coast regions the opportunity to play competitive cricket in the Sydney Women's competition.

Wallsend currently have a 1st Grade team competing in the Sydney competition and will look to expand in coming seasons. We have a number of NSW representatives in both open and under age teams along with two Australian squad members. In 2005/06 the Bears won the 1st Grade premiership with our 2nd Grade impressing in their first season by making the Semi-Final.

Wallsend have a dedicated coaching staff who are committed to providing elite coaching and support to our players.
Our Sydney base is Waverley Oval provided by Eastern Suburbs Cricket.
